Snow Skin Mooncake Making

The snow skin dough and red bean filling are already prepared for you.

.: Step 01

Roll the Dough

Take one portion of snow skin dough and gently roll it into a smooth ball.

.: Step 02

Flatten the Dough

Press the dough into a flat circle with your palm. Use your fingers to gently thin the edges, while keeping the center slightly thicker.

Add the Red Bean Filling

Place one ball of red bean filling in the center of the dough.

.: Step 04

Wrap & Seal

Slowly bring the edges of the dough up and around the filling. Pinch the opening closed, then gently roll it into a smooth ball.

Prepare for the Mold

If the dough is sticky, lightly dust the mooncake or mold with a very small amount of cooked flour. Do not use too much.

Shape the Mooncake

Place the filled dough ball into the mooncake mold. Set the mold on a flat surface, press down gently for a few seconds, then carefully release the mooncake.

Chill & Enjoy!

No baking needed! Keep your finished snow skin mooncake refrigerated. Enjoy it chilled.

Helpful Tips

  • Food-safe disposable gloves are available. Please wash your hands before putting them on.

  • Do not make the snow skin too thin, or the filling may break through.

  • Use only a light dusting of cooked flour if needed.

  • Snow skin mooncakes should be kept refrigerated.
