（＊After the first week of trial classes, walk-ins will no longer be accepted.） 本課程專為4歲半到6歲、有基本中文口說能力的孩子設計，透過淺顯、有趣的方式帶領他們認識注音符號，進入中文拼音的世界。孩子將逐步學習新的注音符號與結合韻，並搭配聲調練習，打下穩固的語音基礎。 我們課堂上運用童謠、拼字遊戲、聽音辨字等活動，讓孩子自然地學習發音與拼讀，在歡樂中建立自信與語感。 課程目標: • 學習20/37個注音符號和6/20個結合韻的基本發音。 • 練習雙拼、三拼及四聲聲調的拼讀。 • 培養準確清晰的中文發音能力。 課程亮點 結合童謠、拼字遊戲與互動活動，讓學習輕鬆又有趣 加強發音練習與口語表達，提升拼讀與語感能力 *學生需要能聽懂中文，並能用中文進行日常生活對話. *For children ages 4.5 to 6 who already speak some Mandarin This class is designed for children ages 4.5 to 6 who already speak some Mandarin. In a fun and friendly setting, kids will explore Zhuyin (Bopomofo)—the phonetic system used in Taiwan. Each week, they’ll learn new symbols, compound finals, and tone practice to build a strong foundation in Mandarin pronunciation. Through songs, word games, and listening activities, kids will naturally pick up sounds and blending skills while having fun and gaining confidence! Learning Goals • Recognize 20 Zhuyin symbols and 6 compound finals • Practice blending using two- and three-part syllables with tones • Develop clear and confident Mandarin pronunciation Class Highlights • Songs, games, and hands-on activities make learning fun and engaging • Focus on pronunciation and speaking to build phonics and rhythm skills • Parents are welcome to join the learning journey and support at home Teacher: Jennifer Chiu Ms. Chiu has over ten years of dedicated experience teaching Zhuyin, having started her teaching career in Taiwan before relocating to California. Since 2012, she has been committed to teaching at the Chinese schools in the Bay Area. Ms. Chiu employs interactive and engaging methods that encourage active student participation, primarily focusing on Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st grade, fostering a love for language and learning in her young students. Date: 9/6, 9/13,9/20, 10/4, 10/11,10/18, 11/1, 11/8, 11/15,12/6,12/13, 1/10,1/17,1/24 ( 14 sessions)
Cancellation Policy
Attendance, Absence & Cancellation Policy *Attendance & Absence -For courses with 8 classes or fewer, each student is allowed one personal absence without providing a reason. -For courses with more than 8 classes, students may take up to two personal absences. -In both cases, you will receive make-up credits equivalent to one class fee per absence, which must be used before the current course ends. *Make-up credits can be applied to other eligible classes during the same season. -The difference is non-refundable if the make-up class costs less than the credit value. -If the make-up class costs more, the participant will be responsible for paying the difference. -If it costs more, the student must pay the difference. *If the absence is not reported at least 72 hours in advance, or if the number of allowed absences is exceeded, make-up classes or refunds will not be granted.( info@thejoyculturefoundation.org) * Cancellation & Refund Policy Program Cancellation by Organizer : -Programs may be canceled 7 days before the first class if minimum enrollment is not met. -If a class is canceled, participants will be notified by email and receive a full refund. -Credit card refunds may take 1–2 weeks to process. *Refunds for General Courses ： Cancellations made more than 10 business days before the course start date: Full refund minus a 15% or $50 processing fee (whichever is lower) Cancellations made within 10 business days of the start date: No refund *All cancellations must be made in writing via email to: info@thejoyculturefoundation.org Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
