Teacher: Ms.Jasmine 光影小劇場：皮影戲創作營 Light & Shadow Theater Camp Shadow Puppets Storytelling 本週課程以「皮影戲」為主題，結合剪紙手作＋光影探索＋中文表達，帶孩子從創作到呈現，完整體驗光與影的魅力。 孩子將親手設計並製作專屬皮影角色，學習基本構圖與剪貼技巧，同時透過實作了解光源、距離與角度如何影響影子的大小與變化。課堂中也會引導孩子用中文練習角色介紹、簡短台詞與情境表達，並在教室內完成小小的光影展示與分享。適合喜歡動手做、愛編故事、也想在中文表達上更自然自信的孩子。 講師簡介： 敏娟老師（Ms. Jasmine Wang）擁有University of San Francisco教育博士學位（Ed.D.），目前於灣區公校的中文沉浸式課程任教。她專長於關注加州華裔學生學習中文的動機與經驗。敏娟老師熱衷於透過語言、創意與文化的結合，幫助孩子建立與文化的連結。 This week’s camp is all about shadow puppetry! Kids will explore light and storytelling through a fun mix of paper cutting, hands-on crafting, and creative expression—taking their ideas from creation all the way to a final presentation. Children will design and make their own shadow puppet characters, while learning basic composition and cutting techniques. Through hands-on experiments, they’ll also discover how light sources, distance, and angles affect the size and movement of shadows. Along the way, kids will practice introducing their characters, creating simple lines, and expressing short scenes in Chinese. The week wraps up with a small in-class shadow performance and sharing. Perfect for kids who love making things, enjoy storytelling, and want to feel more natural and confident expressing themselves in Chinese. Instructor Bio: Ms. Jasmine Wang holds an Ed.D. from the University of San Francisco and currently teaches in a Mandarin immersion program in the Bay Area public school system. Her work focuses on Chinese heritage students’ motivation and learning experiences in California. She is passionate about helping children connect with language, creativity, and culture.
