Ava Chen

Ava Chen is a Registered nurse with nearly a decade of experience in Pediatric care and early childhood intervention in Taiwan. Her strong love for arts and crafts inspired her to join TJCF and take part in various creative workshops. At the Little Bookworm Library, she enjoys leading kids in exploring book stories and hands-on arts and crafts, helping them with their imagination and creativity.


Mandy Chen
Mandarin Together: Sing, Wiggle & Play! | 親子中文唱跳樂!
Ms. Mandy’s class is well-established in the Mountain View/Los Altos area, particularly among families with non-native speakers. The class is a fun playtime full of joy, laughter, kindness, love, and happiness. Her teaching style is very positive, dynamic, passionate, and caring. Many parents learn Mandarin Chinese together with their younger children. She also prepares thoughtful handmade props to fit into each week’s themed class and always brings fun craft projects to all participants.


Jennifer Chiu
Zhuyin Fun | 快樂學注音
Ms. Chiu has over ten years of dedicated experience teaching Zhuyin, having started her teaching career in Taiwan before relocating to California. Since 2012, she has been committed to teaching at the Chinese schools in the Bay Area. Ms. Chiu employs interactive and engaging methods that encourage active student participation, primarily focusing on Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st grade, fostering a love for language and learning in her young students.


Vivian Huang

Vivian Huang is an experienced Mandarin educator with over 20 years of teaching experience. She has a background in immersion and IB-style inquiry-based teaching and has led the design of school-wide cultural and language programs. Her classes integrate language, creativity, and hands-on learning. She is especially skilled at guiding students to express themselves confidently through presentations, performances, and real-world communication. Through engaging activities and meaningful projects, students build confidence, share their ideas, and learn through authentic experiences.


Delia Kao

Delia Kao is a licensed speech-language therapist from Taiwan with over 10 years of experience working in early childhood special education for children ages 0–6. She specializes in language development and early intervention for preschool-aged children. Through her years of guiding children’s growth and learning, Delia believes that picture books are one of the most valuable teaching tools and an effective way to support language development. One of the most magical aspects of picture books is that the same story can be enjoyed by a one-year-old baby and also shared meaningfully with a five-year-old child.


Crystal Li

Crystal Li, graduated from The University of Queensland in Australia, she is a social media content creator who also runs her own creative studio. She has produced short-form videos and visual content for a variety of brands. She is highly familiar with current short-video trends and understands what kinds of visuals capture attention and what types of content are more likely to go viral. She is skilled at turning fun ideas into engaging videos and enjoys teaching simple and practical ways to help students quickly learn filming and editing techniques. Her classes are relaxed, fun, and interactive. Beyond learning how to shoot videos, students are encouraged to express their own ideas and creativity. Through hands-on activities in creative filming, storytelling, and short-video production, every child will have the opportunity to create something uniquely their own — something that feels “pretty cool.” Through this course, she hopes children will discover that creativity and content creation can be incredibly fun!


Susan Tu
My Courage Friend 勇氣娃娃
Ms. Susan holds a Master’s degree in Foreign Language Teaching and has over 25 years of experience working with children through language and movement. She has taught in Taiwan, the Middle East, Vietnam, and Central America, and previously led children’s rhythmic dance at Taiwan’s Cloud Gate Dance Studio. Her classes blend Mandarin, music, and festive traditions in a fun, expressive way that kids love.


Zoe Weng

Zoe Weng is an experienced Mandarin educator of teaching experience in early childhood and bilingual education. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Foreign Language Teaching (MAFLT) at Michigan State University. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy and IB inquiry-based learning, Ms. Zoe creates warm, engaging, and hands-on learning environments where children explore language through stories, art, sensory play, nature, and creative activities. She is passionate about helping children build confidence, curiosity, and joyful learning experiences through meaningful exploration and play.


Ms. Becca

Ms. Becca is an experienced dance teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience. She specializes in creative movement, ballet, folk dance, and modern dance for young children. Her classes focus on play-based and exploratory learning, helping children build confidence, creativity, and joy through movement in a warm and supportive environment.


Ms. Chia-Ling
Music Peekaboo Music & Movement | 親子音樂躲貓貓
Ms. Chia-Ling holds a Master’s degree in Music Performance from Chinese Culture University and brings over 30 years of rich experience in music education. After becoming a mother, she began to reflect more deeply on how young children learn, and has since been dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where children can learn through play and grow through music. With her warm, attentive, and guiding teaching style, children are introduced to music in a natural and joyful way. Through multi-sensory experiences—listening, observing, moving, and playing—children gradually build musical awareness, confidence, and a lifelong love for music.


Ms. Yuyu

Ms. Yuyu holds a Master’s degree in Fine Arts and professional teacher training from Taiwan. She creates a warm and engaging environment where children explore art through sensory play, creativity, and mixed media. With experience teaching all age groups, she guides each child to express their ideas, build confidence, and enjoy the joy of creating. Every child can shine as a little artist!
