The Art of Growth -An Art Journey for Children to Explore Materials, Movement and Self-Expression 成長藝術探索課-一段透過材料、動作與創作，自由探索與表達的藝術旅程，為6歲以上兒童設計的藝術課程。整個課程包含14堂循序漸進的課程，學生將依照「根 · 水 · 光」三個成長階段進行探索與創作： ROOT 根｜認知：學習觀察、注意細節變化，並理解基本視覺元素如點、線、面與空間。 WATER 水｜實作：嘗試各種工具、材質與動作，展開創作。 LIGHT 光｜表達：將技巧轉化為個人風格，創作出「光之樹」、「水下花園」、「三角世界」、以及「成長自畫像」等作品，最終完成一本屬於自己的**《創意成長冊》** 這門課程不只是「畫一幅漂亮的畫」，孩子們將在創作中練習「觀察 → 嘗試 → 失敗 → 調整」，逐步找出自己的藝術語言與自信。 The Art of Growth” is a studio-based art curriculum designed for children ages 6 and up. Through 14 carefully sequenced lessons, students move through three stages of development: ROOT (cognition), WATER (action), and LIGHT (expression). They don’t just “make a pretty picture”—they practice seeing, trying, failing, adjusting, and finally finding their own artistic voice. Three Stages ROOT | Cognition Students learn to observe, notice small changes, and understand basic visual elements like point, line, plane and space. WATER | Action Students experiment with tools, textures and movements. LIGHT | Expression Students turn techniques into personal expression—trees of light, underwater gardens, triangular worlds, growing self-portraits, and a final “Book of Growth”. Children will explore themed art projects that incorporate drawing, collage, sculpture, and natural materials, building creativity, confidence, and personal expression. Grounded in visual expression, this course encourages students to grow through three key areas: an appreciation of the humanities, the development of a personal voice, and freedom in creative exploration. Hands-on projects help students discover their own way of thinking and making, laying a strong foundation for future creative growth. Attendance, Absence & Cancellation Policy *Attendance & Absence -For courses with 8 classes or fewer, each student is allowed one personal absence without providing a reason. -For courses with more than 8 classes, students may take up to two personal absences. -In both cases, you will receive make-up credits equivalent to one class fee per absence, which must be used before the current course ends. *Make-up credits can be applied to other eligible classes during the same season. -The difference is non-refundable if the make-up class costs less than the credit value. -If the make-up class costs more, the participant will be responsible for paying the difference. -If it costs more, the student must pay the difference. *If the absence is not reported at least 72 hours in advance, or if the number of allowed absences is exceeded, make-up classes or refunds will not be granted.( info@thejoyculturefoundation.org) * Cancellation & Refund Policy Program Cancellation by Organizer : -Programs may be canceled 7 days before the first class if minimum enrollment is not met. -If a class is canceled, participants will be notified by email and receive a full refund. -Credit card refunds may take 1–2 weeks to process. *Refunds for General Courses ： Cancellations made more than 10 business days before the course start date: Full refund minus a 15% or $50 processing fee (whichever is lower) Cancellations made within 10 business days of the start date: No refund *All cancellations must be made in writing via email to: info@thejoyculturefoundation.org Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
